NIH Support to Diversify Your Workforce

NIH offers funding to diversify the scientific workforce to small businesses participating in the SBIR and STTR programs. If you have an active NIH SBIR or STTR award, you may be eligible to apply.

The diversity supplement for small businesses (PA-24-255) can support students, postdocs, and eligible investigators from diverse backgrounds, including those from groups that are underrepresented in health-related research or in the SBIR and STTR programs.

Review the program announcement and reach out to your program officer before applying as some Institutes and Centers may have specific guidelines.
