Effective immediately, the website www.defensesbirsttr.mil will no longer host solicitations, documents, and instructions.
Moving forward, all solicitation documents and instructions, including those from past solicitations, will be accessible exclusively through the Defense SBIR/STTR Innovation Portal (DSIP), www.dodsbirsttr.mil. NIH Entrepreneurship Bootcamp
Are you an academic or small business life science innovator looking for free entrepreneurship training? Submit your request for the new NIH Entrepreneurship Bootcamp by Friday, August 16, to learn about:
The customer discovery process to assess customer and stakeholder needs
How to develop stronger business models and market strategies
How to validate commercialization plans
Eligibility
Submissions must include a team of at least two persons consisting of 1) a technical lead with expertise in the proposed project area and 2) a person acting as the business lead. A third team member acting as a mentor or industry advisor is optional.
Each team member must commit to spending 10-20 hours/week for webinars, coaching, and coursework over 7 weeks.
If you have an active SBIR/STTR award (including no cost extension) during the course, your team is not eligible for this program. (Active SBIR/STTR Phase I awardees are eligible forother programs.)
